Our First EOTO

This past week in class half of the class taught certain topics to the other half of the class. This is a helpful tool in learning the information since it is easier to learn the information when one has to teach it themselves. The topics of the EOTO were either pro-slavery or anti-slavery. Each person in the group picked a topic that fell under either category. Each person in the class did a decently food job detaching themselves from their own opinions to give accurate facts, without any form of bias. I feel as though topics such as slavery and racism bring about a certain amount of emotion and bias and this can be a hard thing to overcome when you have to play the devil's advocate.
