"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
The quote "make your plans and hear God laughing" truly resonates with me and my college journey. At 17, I had such plans and visions for all that I wanted out of college, but God (thankfully) took me a different direction. Many times throughout these past 3 1/2 years, I have questioned my place, my paths, and I have asked many "what if's," but I am so grateful to say that God's plan prevailed despite my own dismay. His plan has brought me more fulfillment and peace than anything I naively dreamed about before college.
My life does not look like how I planned for it to look at 21 years old, but in the detours, I can honestly say that I have had a beautiful blessing to come to know God as a dear friend and the most inspiring of mentors. He has carried me through disappointments and lonely days, brought people in (and out) of my life according to His will, and He has taught me how to trust deeply in Him.
I am so grateful for the past 3 1/2 years and all of the growth and grace I have been granted, even if I was not accepting of it at the time. I am confident that where I am is exactly where I need to be.
The best things in life are those that are done of out love and passion.. this is mine. Here is to a lifelong journey of learning and accepting.
